The Port Community in September 2016 welcomed a new ultramodern export terminal called the Amaris Terminal.
Management of Amaris terminal has assured the exporting public of a one stop shop services for their export activities.
Amaris terminal is currently licensed by the Ghana Port and Harbor Authority and some of the activities it offers include export stuffing, container handling and storage, weighing of export containers, reefer handling, scanning of export containers among others.
The terminal has a yard capacity of about 4000TEUs for the handling of export containers.
Management of the terminal have provided office facility for government officials including narcotic control board and the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority to facilitate the export process.
Speaking in an interview with Eye on Port, Alex Atakorah, Managing Director of Amaris Terminal revealed that the kind of services rendered at the terminal positions it as the best so far.
Alex Atakorah said Amaris has modern equipment that ensures efficient delivery of services.
He also revealed that safety issues are not compromised at the terminal, hence, cargo and human lives are adequately secured in addition of an improved customer service.
Amaris is certified by the Ghana standard authority to provide a Verified Gross Mass service by weighing containers.
