A delegation from Ghana Community Network, GCNet, an IT solution firm for trade facilitation on behalf of Ghana which operates an electronic system for processing trade and customs documents in Ghana has paid a curtesy call on the new Acting Director General of Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and his managers to assure him of their uninhibited support in ensuring efficiency at Ghana’s Ports.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss issues of common interest to achieve trade facilitation in the country and also congratulate the newly appointed acting Director General of GPHA, Paul Asare Ansah.
The Managing Director of GCNet, Alwin Hoegerle, pledged the GCNet’s commitment to collaborate with the Port Authority to achieve customer satisfaction of players in the maritime trade.
The delegation was received by the Director General of GPHA, Paul Asare Ansah and some of his management staff.
Issues of inadequate tracking devices for the transit trade was discussed to see how best to find a lasting solution to that.
The Managing Director of GCNet revealed that more tracking devices have been procured.
