The Parliamentary Select Committee on Finance has commended the Ghana Community Network Services (GCNet) for their immense contribution towards ensuring that government mobilised the needed revenue for the country.
Members of the committee paid a working visit to the offices of GCNet to get themselves abreast with their operations which involves trade facilitation, revenue mobilisation, and business registration among others.
This is expected to guide them in playing their overall responsibility in terms of having an input into policy initiatives.
The Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Finance underscored the fact that GCNet plays a critical role in revenue generation, hence, the need for them to be supported.
He was also enthused about the fact that information technology has been incorporated into the activities of GCNet to ensure efficiency.
The Deputy Managing Director of GCNet, Emmanuel Darko said the company has put in place measures to pluck revenue leakages.
