GPHA DIRECTOR-GENERAL PAYS WORKING VISIT TO PORT OF KETA SITE

As part of his working visit to the Port of Keta project site, Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Awomefia of the Anlo State, Torgbui Sri III.


He was led to the Awomefia’s Palace by the Dufia of Kedzi, Togbi Joachim Acolatse V. 

The visit served as an opportunity for Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono to formally introduce himself to the revered traditional leader following his appointment as head of GPHA.


Welcoming the Director-General and his delegation, Togbi Sri underscored the importance of realizing the Keta Port project, emphasizing its potential to transform the economic fortunes of the area and improve the livelihoods of its people.


He extended his best wishes to the Director-General and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering stronger collaboration between the Anlo State and GPHA for their shared progress and development.


The GPHA boss and his team also held engagements with the Dufia of Kedzi, where the port project is sited, Togbi Joachim Acolatse V at his palace.


The Dufia of Kedzi, in his remarks, described the Port Project as a cardinal one which will immensely contribute to the economic advancement of the area and Ghana as a whole. He noted that, the people of the area were anxious to see to the actualization of the project and urged the new GPHA Director-General to expedite action speedily in that regard.


Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono thanked the traditional leaders for their warmth reception and assured that the Port Authority will follow through with the project to ensure it benefits the area and Ghana as a whole.


He later proceeded to inspect ongoing works on the construction of the Port of Keta Administration Block.
