The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association of Ghana (IEAG), Samson Asaki Awingobit, paid a working visit to the Acting Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Brigadier General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono.
The visit aimed to congratulate the GPHA Acting Director-General and strengthen collaboration to enhance Ghana’s maritime trade. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to working closely to promote efficiency and growth in the port sector.
During the meeting, Samson Asaki Awingobit emphasized that ongoing collaboration between IEAG and GPHA would not only reinforce their partnership but also help reduce the cost of doing business at Ghana’s ports.
Brigadier General Tanye-Kulono assured the association of GPHA’s dedication to engaging key stakeholders within the port business community.
He reiterated GPHA’s commitment to making Ghana’s ports more attractive and competitive by improving goods clearance processes, enhancing road connectivity within the port enclave, and advancing the 24-hour port operation agenda.
