Indian High Commissioner To Ghana Visits GPHA

The Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Ambassador Surinder Bhagat, on Monday, 13th July 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Major General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, to discuss areas of mutual interest and cooperation.


Ambassador Bhagat, who assumed office as the High Commissioner of India to Ghana on 25th June 2026, was accompanied by the Second Secretary (Consular Wing), Mr. Yogendra Pal.


During the meeting, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the areas of capacity building, professional exchanges and training programmes. 


Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives that will enhance skills development and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the maritime and port sectors.
