The Ghana chapter of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association, (WISTA Ghana), has held an end of year get-together to celebrate the year 2019, and appreciate the commitment and hard work of members towards the association.

The President of WISTA Ghana, Jemilat Jawulaa Mahamah, said the Association which seeks opportunities to empower women in the maritime industry, will engage its members in a lot of activities in 2020.

“The first one will be in May which is the WISTA International mid-year meeting and that one entails all the WISTA ExCo members coming to Ghana with WISTA International members joining. So it’s a global affair. After that, we have our AGM in September,” she revealed among other things.

The President WISTA Ghana Jemilat Jawulaa Mahamah revealed that her outfit will continue to champion the goal of increased women participation in the maritime industry.
