The Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Brigadier General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, has called for expanded cooperation in sustainable shipping and environmental management, including waste management, to align Ghana’s ports with international best practices.


He made this appeal during a courtesy visit from the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, Tom Norring, who commended Ghana’s ports as among the most efficient in Africa.


According to Ambassador Norring, despite strong competition from neighboring ports, Ghana is well-positioned to become the gateway to West Africa.
