The Acting Executive Secretary of the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons (NACSA), Dr. Adam Bonaa, has reiterated his commitment to working closely with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) to strengthen security at the country’s entry points.


During a courtesy call on the Director-General of GPHA, Brigadier General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Dr. Bonaa emphasized the need for joint efforts to curb the illicit flow of weapons through Ghana’s ports. 

He urged GPHA to support an upcoming bill aimed at expanding NACSA’s mandate, which he believes will be crucial in combating arms proliferation.<
