The leadership of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana has paid a courtesy call on the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Brigadier General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono.
GPHA has been a proud corporate member of CILT Ghana for over two decades and holds the distinction of being the organization with the highest number of staff enrolled as members. This longstanding relationship has fostered strong collaboration over the years, resulting in the formation of several impactful working groups between the two institutions.
During the meeting, CILT Ghana, led by its President, Mr. Mark Amoamah, commended GPHA’s continued commitment to professional development and strategic industry partnerships. To support the Director General’s leadership agenda, the delegation presented key policy recommendations aimed at strengthening GPHA’s competitive advantage. These included:
• Enhancing hinterland connectivity
• Addressing competition in transhipment and transit traffic
• Promoting continuous capacity building for maritime managers and operators
The Director General expressed appreciation to the leadership of CILT Ghana for their longstanding partnership and valuable contributions to the maritime and logistics sector. He emphasized that at GPHA, professional training is considered essential to building a skilled and future-ready workforce that can respond to the evolving demands of the industry.
